Quality!

I conducted an experiment in May, 2001. I ordered hybrid poplar cuttings from three reputable poplar growers selected at random among a list of 25 suppliers. I ordered 500 cuttings from each.

What did I get?

Cuttings that were cut with a band saw, not with a blade. 60% of the cuttings could not be used at all because they did not have any buds on them. The ones that had buds, only about 20 percent had a bud within 1 inch of the top. This pattern was repeated in every one of the cuttings I received. Bottom line, I got less than 150 trees out of each 500 cuttings.

It makes me so happy to know that my competition is shipping products that are so low in quality that less than 20 percent of the cuttings have any chance of growing.

This gives me the edge I need to be the largest grower/distributor of cuttings in the nation, I get all the unhappy customers from other suppliers, and I get to keep them.

I am not saying that every poplar grower out there is taking shortcuts and producing poor products, I may have just stumbled on three bad ones, but keep in mind, you may just do the same mistake I made.

I offer you the best quality and best service possible. My hybrid poplar cuttings are cut by hand, one at the time, cut with a blade and every one of them will have a bud within the top inch of it. If you order 500 cuttings from me, when you open the box you will wonder if they were made all in the same mold. They look so much alike.

Isn't that reason enough to buy from me, knowing that you are getting only the best?
