I have a surplus of these trees, about 300, and I have to start selling them faster. This is the Paulownia Elongata tree, it is supposed to grow 20 ft. per year and you can harvest it in 3 years. The wood is hard. There are many web sites dedicated to this tree, just search for Royal Empress. While it is a very fast growing tree it grows only in zones 6 and warmer. The tree grows up to 100 ft. and it lives up to 100 years. This is the tallest of the paulownias (there are 23 different clones) and the one that lives the longest. These trees were grown from root cuttings. You can cut them at any time and they will resprout from the root. Fertilizer and instructions are included. Best place to grow them? The Texas Panhandle
I am shipping plants that are from 4 to 8 inches tall. The trees on the photo are about 4 months old. Be aware, if the top dies after you plant it, wait about 2 weeks, a new top will surface.
