Free Pawpaw Seeds

Yes, you can have 5 seeds, already stratified and ready to plant.

I ordered these seeds from a seed company last October, 2002. The idea was to plant them, start little trees so I could sell them to my customers as something different, a novelty which bears fruit that has a banana flavor. I started stratifying them in October last year to be planted this Spring.
As I did more reading about Pawpaw, I learned that the seeds will grow ONLY if they are allowed to have a tap root of 15 inches or more.

I plant everything in 6 inch deep bags, and those seeds definitely would not grow in the bags, so, I decided to give them away.

The seeds are free but you can have them only when you place an order that contains items from Pennsylvania (Such as P118 for example).

During checkout just leave me a note requesting the pawpaw seeds. I will include the seeds with your order. When I run out of seeds, I will remove the link to this page.

When you receve them, plant them OUTDOORS right away in the place where you want the trees to grow. They should be about 3 inches deep and it will take a couple of months for the top of the trees to reach the surface.

Good Pawpaw information from the University of Kentucky.
