However, I have a customer who planted 25 OP-367 at Castle Rock, CO. in 2003 (6000 ft. elevation) and have been growing with no problem. Most trees are shipped as 12" tall, and plants such as Gynura are mature enough to be shipped when they are only 4" tall I ship Paulownia when they are very small because they have a tap root which make the trees stop growing when it reaches the bottom of the bag.. Hybrid Poplar OP-367 Male. The everyday hybrid poplar, grows to 100 ft. and 40 ft. wide in about 14 years. I grow 1000 of these for retail sales every year. This tree outsells all other hybrids 10 to 1. If you want this tree for wood burning like most everybody, plant it 6 ft. apart. It can be cut in 5 years when the trunks will be 6 inches in diameter The tree will regenerate from the stump. Most of my trees are now about 14-16 inches tall. Populus Gazi A replacement for the Lombardy Poplar. This tree is originally from the Poplar Research Station in Turkey. It is also called 56/52 and it is a pure Populus Nigra, not a hybrid. This tree is resistant to canker, insects and to cold. It has grown with no problems in Minnesota. Grows to 75 ft. in about 10 years.The gazi lives about 40 years. Empress Tree Paulownia Elongata Grows to 100 ft. zones 6-9 Grow very fast, about 20 ft. per year. Leaves are 35" wide. Plant this tree about 14 feet apart and grow another crop under it at the same time. You can cut this tree at any time and it will grow again from the stump. It is a hardwood. This tree will propagate from root cuttings or seeds only. there is the possibility that the tops will break off when you plant them. That is normal because the tree is very brittle. Plant the root as instructed, the tree will make a new top within 2 weeks. I ship these when they are very small. The reason for this is that the paulownias have a tap root. When the root hits the bottom of the bags, the trees stop growing, idle there for a while and then die. That is why you should plant them in the ground as soon as you receive them, so that the roots can go as deep as they want without anything stopping them.	10

Some other names: Ceylon Spinach, Indian Spinach, climbing spinach, Basella How to grow it: Malabar Spinach is a perennial twining, sprawling vine that is at its best in the heat of summer. It does well in full sun, but will produce larger juicier leaves if grown in partial shade. It will thrive in moist, fertile and well drained soils, tending to develop tough leaves or bolt to seed if conditions are too dry. Will do well in pots if well watered, mulched & fed. Gynura Procumbens There are plenty of web sites that grow and sell gynura Procumbens and make very interesting claims, such as cancer cure, diabetes, aids, blood pressure, cholesterol, etc. The only claim I make is that my Gynura plants are cheaper than anybody else. Gynura is not hardy at all, any frost will kill it . All claims I have seen ask you to have a gynura salad (use the leaves) daily. As you grow your plant you can propagate it by tip cuttings. Place your plants in a sunny window at room temperature when outside temperatures are below 40 degrees. In late Spring, Summer and early Fall, keep the containers outside. The leaves of the gynura Procumbens do not taste bad, just like lettuce and you can either eat them in salads or include them in soups or with any other dishes. In weeks you should be able to start taking leaves and consuming them. When you get your gynura plants, please inspect them carefully, Gynuras attract aphids and you should always be aware of that. There are many solutions to get rid of aphids, the best I have found is Neem oil. You can get it on the Internet. Use half a teaspoon of neem and half a teaspoon of dish setergent in about a pint of water, shake well and spray the plants with this solution. The Neem has a very short half life, so mix it again within a couple of days to spray the plants again. Spray the plants 4 or 5 times, by then you will see that there are no aphids in them. Goji Berry Plant. (Lycium barbarum) The most nutritional dense fruit on earth. This plant has all the amino acids in the map. My plants are at this time small (10-12 inches), and they start producing any beries on their second year. I have 4 plants in the gaden. Plant grows to 12 ft. Each plant can produce up to 100 lbs of berries per year. You can plant it in a large container or you can plant it outside where it will grow and grow.
