There are plenty of web sites that grow and sell this plant and make very interesting claims, such as cancer cure, diabetes, aids, etc. The only claim I make is that my Gynura plants are cheaper than anybody elses. Gynura is hardy to -15 degrees, zone 5A. The claims I have seen ask you to have a gynura salad (use the leaves) daily. If you want to do this, you will need about 6 plants so you have enough leaves. You could buy just one plant and propagate it until you have 6 or more. While this plant can be planted outdoors, if you have it in a 2 gallon container kept indoors, you will have leaves all year round.
